The SAFAA AGM is scheduled for April 18th, 2023 at 8:15pm. It will be an online meeting. A link will be sent to those who confirm they are attending. Should you be unable to attend but wish to vote by proxy, such proxy stating which member is voting on your behalf must be provided in writing to SAFAA no less than seven (7) days prior to the AGM.

Here are the purposed changes to the bylaws.

In accordance with Article 7 of the Bylaws, we would like to amend the current bylaws as follows:

Clause 2.7 - the membership of the association shall be May 1 to April 30.

Clause 3.1 General Meeting: The Association shall hold an Annual General Meeting each year, prior to the end of May.

Clause 6.1 - the fiscal year shall be May 1 to April 30.

Clause 10.1 Banking: All of the banking affairs of the Association be carried out at an insured banking institution recognized by the CDIC. That the Bank accounts to be operated are to be approved by the President, Vice President and/or Board. That the signing authorities of these accounts are to be any two of the President, Vice President and/or Treasurer.

Clause 11.1 add in the wording "unless the meeting is held by online meeting".

We are submitting this request to amend the bylaws in accordance with the current Bylaws. The current Bylaws state that we must provide any suggested amendments to the bylaws to the members at least 21 days prior to the AGM and that they be approved by way of a Special Resolution.
